During a recent kitchen renovation, my client realized after demo that she wanted to add an additional window. While this may seem like a quick addition, in California, any structural modification must meet strict building codes. Fortunately, we had an incredible team of professionals ready to make it happen.

✔️ The Engineer – A structural change like this requires engineering expertise. Our engineer quickly assessed the load-bearing requirements, ensuring the new opening met California’s compliance standards. Their knowledge kept us on track, preventing future structural issues and ensuring a safe and durable solution.

✔️ The Architect – Once the engineering details were in place, the architect seamlessly translated them into updated plans. A great architect ensures that changes integrate smoothly into the overall design while remaining functional and compliant.

✔️ The Contractor – With updated plans in hand, the contractor executed flawlessly, submitting the necessary paperwork to the city for permitting. A strong contractor keeps everything moving, ensuring work begins as soon as approvals are in place.

Without this level of professional coordination, a simple change could have stalled the project for weeks. My role was to ensure every expert had the details they needed—anticipating next steps, following up proactively, and keeping communication clear. Because of this, the window addition was approved and installed efficiently, without unnecessary delays.
